Alex and Ashley’s Winter Wedding

Is there anything more inviting than sparkly fairy lights, warm scrumptious food, and great company on a cold Winters day?! We don’t think so!

There is something quite cosy and beautiful about a Winter Wedding and we are delighted to be able to share with you this real Wedding which took place last month at Cissbury Barns.

Alex and Ashley knew they wanted their Wedding day to be charming, intimate and fun, which would also showcase their personalities. From the decor, to their outfits, we think they styled this perfectly!

For their table setting they wanted this to be traditional and elegant, with an element of gold.

To create this look they used our gorgeous Diva Glass Charger Plates, Gold Cutlery and Classico Glassware, styling this with Ivory linen and To Have & To Hire’s Gold Candelabras and Gold Table Numbers.

They had a beautiful Garland running down the top table, and on the round tables were some lovely Wreaths in the centre. The table Garland and Wreaths were made up of Eucalyptus, Mistletoe, Berries and Foliage.

Alex’s Bouquet consisted of an assortment of flowers ranging from Burgundy Astrantia, Dark Burgundy Ranunculus, Nude Roses, Mistletoe, Lysmachia, Fillers and Foliage.

The flowers looked incredible and added that Festive feel which really complimented the overall look.

Alex and Ashley chose a delicious menu with the help and expertise from Tie the Knot Catering.

To start they had a wonderful selection of canapes which were presented beautifully.

For their Main Course they had Roast Beef with Creamy Dauphinoise Potatoes and Veg, and for their Dessert they had a Winter Berry Crumble served with Hot Vanilla Bean Custard/Indulgent Ice Cream.

You certainly can’t go wrong with a menu as good as this!

The Cake! How can we not talk about the Cake!

This exquisite 3 tiered cake had such fabulous flavours, with Victoria Sponge being one, Carrot Cake with a Winter Spice the other and Jaffa Cake Sponge to finish it off.

The Pudding Fairy decorated this magnificently with semi naked buttercream icing, gold leafs and white chocolate flames.
